Justice Department Announces Decision In Lois Lerner Investigation

IRS official Lois Lerner can finally get a good night’s sleep.

Trump’s government will stop the witch hunt for her alleged mishandling of tax release papers throughout the 2010 and 2012 elections.
She got away from the hands of law once again, for now.
The IRS intentionally put a target on tea party organizations when they denied or blocked tax-exempt applications. Because there aren’t enough hard-proof evidence to prosecute Lerner for her criminal behavior all further investigations will be put to rest.
This is not the first time she dodged a bullet. Lerner escaped from the accusations in 2015 when the DOJ decided to pull back the legal case against her and the IRS.  The decision of the DOJ got a negative acknowledgment from Republican executives because they believed strongly in the alleged mishandling was unreasonably aimed at conservative tea party organizations. House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady and Republican Peter Roskam did not let things slide. The DOJ’s decision ignited them to force Attorney General Jeff Sessions to return to the case in April and continue with his investigation.
Kevin Brady and Peter Roskam believe the 2015 decision is shady and based on political ideals, according to Fox News. Assistant Attorney General Kevin Boyd sent a letter to the House Ways and Means Committee, that says the DOJ will pull back and won’t prosecute Lerner for her crimes. “After this process, the Department determined that reopening the investigation would not be appropriate based on the available evidence,” Kevin Boyd wrote in the letter.
Many famous Twitter users like Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton teamed up with Brady and Roskam to show their objection to the unfair decision. Tom Fitton wrote in his statement: “In fact, we’re still fighting the Justice Department and the IRS for records about this very scandal. Today’s decision comes as no surprise considering that the FBI collaborated with the IRS and is unlikely to investigate or prosecute itself. President Trump should order a complete review of the whole issue. Meanwhile, we await accountability for IRS Commissioner [John] Koskinen, who still serves and should be drummed out of office.”
Very disturbing that DOJ and Sessions are not taking any action in the IRS scandal. Message to all bureaucrats: Do your worst.
